| gato_9, Your first burgee is a winner. we will not be producing these, just a club burgee for the forum mast head.
SANDY check this link
http://registry.gimp.org/node/70
Read the instructions closely I do remember having a little frustration getting it to work. This will load into GIMP and will be part of the gimp program. It appears gato_9 is a skinner also . So between Dan Gazza gato_9 and myself we can get you up and running. There are also a few good utubes out there. Seahorse/John

| Sandy, I've never used Gimp, I don't even know how it looks like hahaha, I use Adobe Photoshop for making the skins and Adobe Illustator for all the logos and sponsors, so I really cant helpyou but if you want to try with Ps, I strongly reccomend you this link http://www.northspace.co.uk/skins_making.html In which Camster gives you a simple tutorial to make skins.
John, I know that it wasn't going to be produced, I ment that a Burgee is usually embroided on sleeves or on jackets, so I wanted to be embroidable(?) even though it only stays virtual. But anyways, loved that you liked

| You guys must have the patience of a saint to try and edit/create a skin. just spent the last couple of hours wrestling with GIMP, managed to open the dds files but its a proper ball ache to alter. lost patience and feel like head butting the computer now!!

| Sandy it's easier to work in psd and create layers with the different details you want. Then convert to dds when finished, to put them in the game.

| Sandy, You need to download a TEMPLATE from Northspace for ACC. Work those files then save them to .dds. There are a lot of little tricks to this everthing has to be right. I was pulling my hair out at first but I stuck with it. ASK us questions we are there on TS. We will get you through it. Before you know it you will be an expert >>>>>>>>maybe not John | |

| Thats why we opened this Sub-Forum, get those ideas rolling and transfer of information comming. Neither the Gimp or Photoshop programs are user friendly I have found and it takes me a good week to produce a skin, you have to have the patience of a saint just like Sandy said. Play around with it and slowly navigate your way around the programs. Its trial and error mainly, if I had the time to write a quick tutorial I would, but at the moment I just dont have that sort of time available to me. Franco, you sure are a master, and this is a lovely bird, nothing like some "boat porn" to bring a smile to ones face. Shes a lovely boat mate. Dan | |
