Hello to all ARC-sailors,

I am happy to join you at the invitation of Dan and Legsy. I still hesitated because I'm a loner. I agreed because we share certain values about fair play and friendly fun.

In life I am a theater stage manager. I only work on tour and this is why I have long periods without play. I'm living in Paris, France, too far from the sea, even if long time ago I was sailing instructor for beginners children in optimist.

I want to explain the origin of my nickname HOHZHOH (no correct spelling, because it's a spoken language), which will clear up on my state of mind. This is an original word from Navajo people, a primitive Indian tribe in America. It is a philosophical precept that encompasses the beauty, harmony and interconnectedness with natural world. I discovered in the Tony Hillerman mystery novels (the best for me is "Coyote waits"), itself inspired by Australian author Arthur W. Upfield. Both are inspired by the traditions of the primitive peoples of these two countries and their tales and legends.

Kindly yours

Hi Hoh,

Its always a pleasure when a fellow member opens up a talks a little about himself and what he does. It kind of makes the game better to play if you see the other boats out there as "actually" being skippered by a human being.

Ill just say that I have had the pleasure of hosting for Hoh for quite some time now and was actually surprised when I learned that he had not joined us yet. I know him to be a very fair sailor and a gentlemen by nature, always courteous and always polite.

I am glad that he has decided to join, and you can rest assured Hoh that we all share your "Fair-Play" principle here, and we are all proud to have you with us.

You have actually given me a great idea for a thread, it would be interesting to know why guys have chosen their usernames and why they have chosen their particular ARC boat numbers.

Cheers Hoh...truly a pleasure to meet you, and welcome once again to Team ARC.

Dan Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hello HOHZHOH. Funny true story for you. Where I grew up Kawkawlin river (indian name) I had a few old cheifs to entertain me. Story is the local weather guys would say the indians are stacking lots of wood. Its going to be a bad winter. The indians would say Im stacking wood because weather man said bad winter.

One more quick story for you. If a pale face asked how much will it snow the elders would say "Big snow little snow, little snow big snow." If the snow flakes are big not much snow is comming. If the snow flakes are small better hope you stacked lots of wood.
